I started my research for a new documentary at the storehouse of props.co, the biggest collection of everyday items used for film and theater. I took some snapshots while working on a trailer with Björn, Piers and Germaine. In the following we did a short Trailer for a possible film there.
I am happy to announce that RIFF (Rome independent film festival) is going to screen „Living Habits“. I hopefully see you there in May!

Grazianos and Ursulas living habits are a bit different as you may know. They live with their 11 year old daughter Jamila for more than 17 years in their camper van. During my finals semester with Docnomads I joined them in their life, living myself in a camper van. We shared stories, food and places to be. Out of the time together my graduation film “Lebensgewohnheiten” was formed. With this film I graduated my studies with Docnomads in 2014. The Erasmus Mundus Master Docnomads was one of the most inspiring times in my life. Travelling with a wild bunch of documentary filmmakers was exciting, shootings short films in three different countries, learning from different experiences made in the filmindustry all over the world.
Im Jahr 2014 durfte ich einen Kurz-Dokumentarfilm über die Breakdance Gruppe „Fresh Roots“ in Budapest drehen, der das Leben des leidenschaftlichen B-Boys Ren und seine Reise in die Welt des Breakdance beleuchtet. Dieser Film ist eine fesselnde Darstellung der Entwicklung der ungarischen Breakdance-Szene und bietet einen einzigartigen Einblick in die Hauptwerte der Hip-Hop-Bewegung in Europa.
„Fresh Roots“ folgt Ren und seinen Crew-Mitgliedern auf ihrer Reise zu einem internationalen Breakdance-Wettbewerb. Der Film zeigt nicht nur die intensiven Vorbereitungen und die aufregenden Battles, sondern auch die tief verwurzelten Werte und den Gemeinschaftssinn, der die Hip-Hop-Kultur in Ungarn prägt.
Ren und seine Freunde haben ein gemeinsames Ziel: die ungarische Breakdance-Szene auf der internationalen Bühne zu repräsentieren. Der Dokumentarfilm zeigt, wie sie mit Leidenschaft und Hingabe ihre Kunst leben und gleichzeitig die Geschichte und Entwicklung des Breakdance in Ungarn nachzeichnen.

Since the end of September 2012 I ve the pleasure to study with Doc Nomads, a documentary film directing Erasmus Mundus Master Course that implement studies in three different Film Universities in three different European Countries. In the first Semester we, 23 students from 20 different nations all over the world, are studying at Lusofona University in Lisbon, Portugal. In the beginning of February we move to Budapest to study at the University of Theatre and Film Arts. In the 3rd Semester we are going to study at LUCA, College Sint Lukas Brussels in Belgium. In the fourth Semester we will split up in three groups to film in one of the three countries our final film. So far I am planning to visit the Algarve in South Portugal for my final movie and film a documentary about the Surfers searching for the biggest waves and living the whole year in nature.
